Meet Our Staff What We Believe

What to Expect

God Focused Worship

God calls each believer to worship Him in Spirit and Truth, and this is how we ascribe worth to Jesus at Capital City! Our worship services are filled with expectation of the Holy Spirit, the celebration of life change, and the exaltation of Jesus!

Sound, Biblical Teaching

We believe the Bible is the Word of God without any error, the sole authority for life and faith. All preaching and teaching, both in Worship services and Bible Group settings, comes from the Bible.

Friendly Faces

Capital City is home to some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. No matter your age or stage of life, we want you to feel welcome because you matter!

I’ve Never Been To Church

No problem! Capital City is a place of people from many different walks of life. Whether you're checking out church for the first time or have attended church your entire life, there's a place for you at Capital City.

Join us this Sunday at 1500 Hedingham Blvd! We gather for worship every Sunday at 11:00 A.M.

Where do I take my Kids?

Nursery is available for ages 0-3 years old and Sunday Kids Church is available for ages 4 to 12 years old. Your children are important to you, and they are important to us! Capital City is focused on providing a nurturing, safe environment for children to learn and become who God made them to be.

If you have infants or toddlers that will be going to the nursery, you can walk into the main entrance and someone will point you in the direction of the nursery.

If you have children that will attend Kids Church, they will remain in the sanctuary and join their parents in worship until dismissal. Kids will be dismissed and exit the sanctuary immediately before the sermon. After the main worship service is completed, parents can then head to the Kids Church area and pick up their child.

You can feel safe leaving your children in our care!  All of our kids leaders have been background checked and love serving in Kids Ministries.

Is There a Place for my teen?

Teens have the opportunity to connect in Bible groups on Sundays during our 10:00 A.M. service. They can then attend the 11:00 A.M. worship service in the main worship center with their families. On Wednesday evenings, our students have a Midweek Bible Groups where they get to hang out and fellowship while studying God’s Word. Wednesday Teen Bible Groups are from 7:00-8:00 PM. The teens also gather once a month for a fun outing or fellowship and get to connect with other teens that love God.

We encourage all of our teens to serve in music, children and other areas of ministry. God is using them in a mighty way to reach their generation.

How Do I Become a Christian?

You believe you’re a good person. You’ve always tried to do what’s right. But you still feel empty, unsatisfied, and alone. You may have turned to drinking, drugs, sex, money, partying, or relationships to fill this unexplained need. But something is still missing.

There is only One who can fill the void in your life — God. He is the answer. God has given us a manual for life — the Bible. He has given instructions for how we can have joy, hope, and peace. He has the answers. In the Bible, God gives us good news and tells us how we can know Him and fill the emptiness in our lives. When sin entered the world, we were separated from God because He is perfect and will not allow imperfection in His presence. However, God loves us so much that He didn’t want to be apart from us. So He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life and then suffer the punishment we deserve for our sins by dying on the cross. Because our punishment has been paid, we are seen by God as perfect. That’s good news! But there’s more ... three days later, Jesus conquered death by rising from the dead, allowing us to also defeat death and have eternal life in heaven with Him!

The ABC's of Becoming a Christian:

ADMIT to God that you’re a sinner and ask for His forgiveness.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and accept God’s gift of forgiveness from sin.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

CONFESS your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Tell others of your trust in God.

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.“ Romans 10:9-10; “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

Are you ready to accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus? Do you desire to ask Him to be your personal Lord and Savior? In your own words, pray and believe a prayer like this one:

Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the grave so that I might have eternal life in heaven with You. I willingly turn away from my sins and ask You to become Lord of my life. I place all of my trust in You alone. Take control of my words, thoughts, and actions. Amen.

If you sincerely prayed this prayer and accepted Christ, we would love to celebrate with you! Or if you have questions or concerns, call us at 919-250-1940. We want to encourage and equip you in your new relationship with Jesus!
